Wherever there is a crisis, you find emergency responders, people who run toward the problem rather than away from it. Thus, the Emergency Munchie Truck was born.
As America faces the challenge to do more and do it faster, we have seen fast food and food trucks on the rise while the quality of that food has declined - prepared with low-quality ingredients, drenched in fatty oils, caked in salt.
We want to celebrate foods that feed the soul, comfort foods prepared as they once were -- with respect and love for you and the community we serve -- all without the guilt that comes with consuming your typical "fast food."
Our Emergency Munchie technicians, having taken our very own dietetic oath, are sworn to use only the highest quality ingredients -- whole grains, local or organic produce and dairy when available. We strive to choose products that are free of MSG and high fructose corn syrup too. You can always find seasonal specials on our menu created using fresh produce from local producers like Cooley Family Farms or Wea Creek Orchard or items straight out of our own organic garden! We also aim to offer some vegan and gluten free options for those with extra special dietary needs too!
Now, with the birth of the Emergency Munchie Truck, we can once again share a feast with our family and friends of which we can be proud, and we hope that you enjoy our meatless, vegetarian alternatives to some great American classic comfort foods! Now, that's a little something we like to call Critical Hunger Relief!
